I grew up in Powell River: a small, isolated town on the north end of the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. Six hours and two ferries away from Vancouver, it’s a unique place that left me with an appreciation for nature but a desire to expand my world. I attended the University of Victoria, where I graduated in 2013 with a BFA double major in visual arts and creative writing. Since 2013, I’ve been living in Vancouver and dabbling in fashion, tech, social media, photography, design and art direction. My experiences have driven me back to photography again and again. I feel alive and truest to myself with a camera in my hand. And two strapped to my back. Maybe one around my neck. You get the point!
I believe in storytelling. At the heart of every photograph is a narrative structure; the whisper of moments surrounding its capture. I love photography because of the endless possibilities to explore the world around us: the people, places and things that make life special and beautiful and interesting.
And let's talk about our dreams, hopes, and snacks.
